The EASIEST way to copy Youtube 'No Cookie' Links
A shameless self promotion for my browser extension :)
What are Youtube No Cookie Links?
Youtube No-Cookie links are a special way to share youtube videos where the video opens in a new tab with only the web player. It also doesn’t load ads when doing it this way. If you would like to see an example of this experience, see the link below!

The way you would traditionally share these is by sharing a youtube video like normal, but then clicking the embed option, with the ‘Enable Privacy Enhanced’ toggle to on. When you do this, there will be a ‘youtube-nocookie.com’ link in the middle of your embed code. If you share this, you will get the experience mentioned above. That is a lot of steps!
Okay, why do you use this?
Well, working for a school district this helps protect the students from potentially inappropriate youtube ads and removes a lot of the distractions. It also makes things easier in our filter policies as we can block all of youtube for a school, but still allow teachers to share youtube videos with students, as the TLD (top level domain) is different for these types of videos.
So what’s the easier way?
I made a browser extension! It’s incredibly simple. Whenever you click the button in the extension, it will check the URL of the tab you have open in your browser. It will check to make sure you’re on a youtube link, and assuming it is, it will automatically copy the ‘no cookie’ version of the youtube video to your clipboard.
Cool! Where can I get it?
Right now, the extension is available in the chrome web store and Edge Add On store. At the moment, I do not plan to upload the extension to other stores, but if there’s demand, I’ll look into it.

I some others may find this useful. Thanks!
