Tech in Tennessee: Free Memberships Available for Tennessee Ed Tech Association (TETA)
Collaboration is key… we started EdTechIRL out of a hope to be able to have a place to discuss and learn and share about things in the edtech world. One of the organizations that we’re all members of is the Tennessee Educational Technology Association, and they’ve recently made an exciting change and removed the financial barrier from joining. Starting this spring, membership became free for all K-12 employees, preservice teachers, students enrolled in teacher prep programs, and other prospective members in similar positions.
TETA, which also doubles as the state CoSN chapter, is composed of 3 separate Learning Networks that are tailored to the member’s role: Instructional Technology Learning Network, Techical Learning Network, and Virtual Learning Network. Details on the 3 Learning Networks and their associated benefits can be found here.
The below release from TETA highlights some of the additional details, as well as a link for where to join:
Membership in TETA provides a platform to network with other educators and technology professionals who share similar interests and goals. Members across the state connect through events, social media, and online forums to collaborate on projects and share best practices.
TETA offers a variety of professional development opportunities, including workshops, conferences, and webinars. These events cover various topics, from using technology in the classroom to cybersecurity and data privacy. Many of these opportunities are eligible for professional development points for license recertification as well as TASL and CEO for administrator recertification.
TETA offers three learning networks that focus on specific educational technology areas. Connect with as many networks as you wish to keep up with all aspects of our sector. From the data center to the administrative office, virtual classroom to physical classroom there is a spot for you to plugin.
TETA membership is now free to all K-12 employees, preservice teachers, students enrolled in teacher preparatory programs, and other prospective members in similar positions.
